Explanation:
This webpage is all about helping people to solve a popular puzzle found in several newspapers. At least here in the UK. It goes under various names, such as "polygon", "panagram", "word wheel", "sundial" and so on. The idea is to find words, of at least 4 letters, that can be made from the central letter and some of the outside letters.

Each letter can only be used once. Names and plurals are usually disallowed. The central letter must always be included.

This webpage might also be useful to those who compose these puzzles, and not just to people trying to solve them!

Updates:
I recently became aware that The Times' Polygon puzzle, which has 7 letters including the central letter, allows 3-letter words in the answers, but only on Mondays and Tuesdays. I have now added the ability to include 3-letter words for 7-letter (i.e. 6-sided) puzzles. This should work on all days of the week.

Proper nouns (i.e. capitalised words) and plurals (including only those that end in 's') can now be excluded from the answers. Working out which words constitute a plural has been an interesting problem to solve.
